PURPOSE:To form an image with good gradations regardless of variation in environmental condition, the secular change of a recording body, etc., by switching the energy of an optical means by a switching means and selecting a specific output means. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a converting means which converts input digital image data according to conversion information, plural output means which select and output the converted image data as an image signal, an optical means which forms an image based upon the image signal on the recording body, and a switching means which switches the energy of the optical means. Then the energy of the optical means is switched by the switching means and then a selecting means selects a specific output means among plural output means. Thus, the relation between the potential on a photosensitive body and image data is made constant and developer characteristics are considered, so the stable image is obtained. |
