The single twist yarn or the hard twisted yarn is knitted by twisting and setting a spun yarn. The process comprises a single twisting or a hard twisting process, a first setting process, a drying process and a knitting process. The first setting comprises a solvent adding process in a storage tank of a heat transfer medium and a high pressure vacuum setting process. The procuct is set secondary in a steam tank containing a solvent such as water, perfume, milk etc., and dried to give the knitted fabric.
