The device for producing a lump of molified and compressed straw for use in a fodder or a mushroom substratum comprises a feeder (1), a chain conveyor (2), a molifying unit (3), a compressing unit (4) and a compression force adjusting unit(5). The feeder comprises a triangular hopper (6) formed with a regular width and the chain conveyor placed on the bottom floor of the hopper in order to supply a predetermined quantity of the cut straw to the molifying unit. The molifying unit comprises a cone-shaped spiral shaft (21) and a housing (25) having an inlet passageway (22) and an outlet passageway (23).
