Angle adjuster for external mirrors on motor vehicles

The adjuster has an encased mirror, which can be pivoted by a drive consisting of a motor, gearing, and a threaded member (18). The member combines with a vibration suppressor (20,22) in order to permit rotation about its axis and to prevent its vibration in the axial direction. The suppressor can be formed from a projection on the threaded member, or on the mirror casing (3), which encloses a corresponding cut out in the other component. This can also be spherical, and can take the form of a projection on the interior of the casing which enmeshes with a cut out on the axial end of the threaded member.
