Worm gear with worm, wheel and housing

The worm gear has a continuous chain of ball bearings (4) which is positioned between the worm (3) and the worm wheel (5). The chain of ball bearings is guided along a circuit. The ball bearings of the chain are return in a spiral worm inside the worm-gear shaft (2). The worm is enclosed by a cylindrical housing, and has deflectors on both sides. The worm-gear shaft has inlet and outlet holes (8,9) for the return of the ball bearings.
