A window (1) designed to be mounted in the void of a body by adhesive bonding is provided with an extruded frame (8) extruded directly onto the windows (1) before polymerising. During mounting of the window (1) in the void, the extruded frame (8) serves to position the bead of adhesive (13) between the window and the body panel. The outside edge of the extruded frame (8) has a lip (10) protruding from the edge (3) of the window (1). Once the window (1) is mounted, the lip (10) rests on the panel (4) which faces the edge (3) of the window (1). This lip (10) serves as a means of protecting and centring the window while the adhesive (13) is setting.
