A hydroponic method for growing target plants and algae including green and blue-green algae, e.g., chlorella and scenedesmus, in combination, characterized by providing a space between the plant support and the surface of the nutrient solution and adding a pH buffer to the solution. This method can be practised even in, e.g., desert readily without the necessity for large-scale mechanization and permits target plants and algae to be cultivated at the same time. |
