<p>The invention relates to a T-lymphotropic primate virus L (PTLV-L) in substantially isolated form to be obtained from the lymphocyte cell line PH969 with the ATCC deposit accession number ATCC CRL 11592, and polypeptides, whether or not recombinant or synthetic, comprising at least one PTLV-L epitope. The invention further contains PTLV-L polynucleotides, or the complementary strands thereof, monoclonal antibodies directed against a PTLV-L epitope, different vaccines for treating PTLV-L infection, kits for analysing samples for the presence of polynucleotides, antigens or antibodies derived from PTLV-L.</p> |
