Concealed windscreen wiper device for vehicle

The front windscreen of the vehicle is provided with flat profile air jets along the bottom edge and up either side. These produce an air blast over the outer surface of the windscreen to remove water droplets and snow. For heavier cleaning a conventional wiper (17a) is fitted to operate with a wash-wipe cleaning system. The air streams remain switched on during conventional wiping. The air flow is provided by plastic ducts (18) which feed the tapering jets to produce a tangential flow over the windscreen. The side jets are fed via hollow side frames for the windscreen supports. The blower for the air flow is fed directly from the generator and the air flow is controlled wrt. the required cleaning conditions.
