The front end section of the delivery table (6) is formed as a movable part (7). This bridges the gap between table and transport cylinder (1). When a transporter grab (4) carries a faulty workpiece, a first control device inactivates its opening control, and moves the bridge part off the cylinder, thereby freeing a passage gap. The grabs are opened by a second control device, when they are in range of a reject container or conveyor. The control device consists of a cam curve (17). This acts with cam rollers (14) to open the grabs.
