The device provides automatic slicing of a cooked egg and distribution of the slices onto a prepared half-roll. The slicing is guided downwards and inclined outwards. There is a hinged lid (5) with a set of cutter blades which is brought down on top of the egg (1). the egg sits on top of a platform (2) with a chute (6) leading down onto a half roll (3) placed to receive the slices.
