PURPOSE:To enable to perform stable amplification instantly at restoration without stopping the operation due to the out of synchronism with level lowering, by operating the injection synchronous type amplifier as the negative resistor type while lowering the level by monitoring the level of the input signal. CONSTITUTION:The signal fed to the input terminal 1 is fed to the injection type amplifier 5 via the directional coupler 2 and the circulator 3. The amplifier 5 is oscillated with the bias current from the IMPATT power supply 6 and is outputted from the terminal 4 after being synchronized with and amplified by the input signal and being inversely flowed to the circulator 3. A part of the input signal is detected with the detection diode 9 with the coupler 2 and is fed to the monitor circuit 8. When the circuit 8 detects that the input signal level is lowered to the degree not synchronized with injection, the output current of the power supply 6 is lowered about by 1/3 of normal value. The amplifier 6 is of negative resistor type operation and continues the amplification. When the input signal level is returned to normal value, the output of the power supply 6 is the normal value, not causing instable phenomenon such as generation of noise and the normal operation is returned stably. |
