<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a compact deodorizing apparatus by forming a biological deodorizing layer of an inorg. basic material-peat mixture in which microorganisms having deodorizing action are allowed to live in a vessel. CONSTITUTION:Malodorous gas is introduced into the lower part of a vessel 6 after the flow rate is regulated with a flowmeter 5. In the vessel 6, the gas is deodorized by passing through a biological deodorizing bed 7 in which microorganisms having deodorizing action are allowed to live and the deodorized gas is released into the air from a nozzle 8. The bed 7 has been packed with ceramics made of blast furnace slag (inorg. basic material) and peat as deodorizing materials and the water content is controlled with a water content meter 9. Water is properly sprinkled from a nozzle 10 so as to keep >=20% water content. Fluid contg. microorganisms is previously sprinkled on the bed 7 by a pump 11.</p> |
