Powdered iced tea compsn. comprise finely ground particles of iced tea solids, finely ground particles of at least one artificial sweetener and granulated citric acid. > 90% of the granules are of 425-1180 mu m. The iced tea solids and the citric acid dissolve in a liq. at different rates. 94% of the citric acid particles have a size of 425-1180 mu m. The amt. of tea solids used is 5-95 wt%, the amt. of artificial sweetener is 1-10% and the amt. of citric acid is 5-95%. The compsn. also contains flavouring(s), colouring(s) and/or preservative(s). The sweetener is aspartame. The citric acid particles may be in coarse granular form. Compsns may be stirred in water in a container or may be put into a container and water allowed in with force.
