PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITE PIPE

PURPOSE:To suppress the positional displacement of a mold to a slight degree while sufficiently preventing the thickness irregularity of an inner surface resin coating layer when an inner surface resin coated metal pipe is produced. CONSTITUTION:A strip of metal material 1 is molded into a tubular shape while both side edge end parts thereof are longitudinally mated with each other by forming devices 41, 42 and the mated parts of the tubular molded metal material are joined to obtain a jointed pipe and a resin is applied to the inner surface of the joined pipe by the mold 6 introduced into the joined pipe through the opening of the metal material on the way of molding to produce an inner surface resin coated metal pipe. In this method, a mold holder 8 is attached to the leading end of the mold 6. The coating with the resin is performed while the mold holder 8 is supported by the cooled and solidified part of the inner surface resin coating layer of the joined pipe.
