METHOD FOR DETECTING COORDINATE FOR TABLET INCORPORATED WITH DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration in the detection accuracy at the start and end of detection by applying a scanning pulse to electrodes so that a rising and a trailing of the scanning pulse are generated simultaneously in an electrode group in the detection coordinate direction so as to detect a position of a detection conductor on a matrix panel. CONSTITUTION:The rising and trailing scanning pulses are scanned sequentially for electrode groups R1-R100 in the detection coordinate direction to enter the detection scanning mode. In succession to the scanning of the electrode R100, the detection scanning pulse is applied sequentially from a row electrode group R1 to a row electrode group R100 sequentially simultaneously. A pen 210 is used to detect a position of the detection conductor on a matrix panel by using electrostatic coupling between the pen 210 and the row electrode groups R1-R100. Thus, the deterioration in the detection accuracy at the start and end of detection is reduced.
