PURPOSE: To absorb the large force applied to a tool shank holder at the time of cutting with a track structure using bearing balls and provided in the holder. CONSTITUTION: This displaceable cutting tool shank holder 11 for a specific rotary boring head 10 is threadable on a main spindle of a machine tool. Parallel linear tracks provided at one end with a substantially H-shaped cross section of the tool shank holder 11 are arranged to face parallel tracks provided on inside projections 16, and the projections 16 are arranged on an end portion or top portion of the rotary boring head 10. The tracks define rolling guide ways of the bearing balls, and an opposite end of the tool shank holder 11 has a recess wherein a cutting tool shank 12 is lodged. |
