PROGRAMMABLE INPUT-OUTPUT ELECTRIC CONNECTOR

PURPOSE: To provide a programmable input/output electric connector by which several conductors are electrically connected to one electronic component having several circuits. CONSTITUTION: A programmable multicontact bus 60 is attached to a housing. The bus 60 normally includes a plurality of spring contacts 62 located near engagement with circuits of electronic components. These spring contacts 62 can be selectively moved to an inoperative position individually separated from the engagement with the circuit. A latch device 68 is operatively associated with the spring contact 62 in order that it surely and individually retains the spring contact 62 in the inoperative position.
