SUGAR-COATING COMPOSITION AND SYRUP FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To obtain a novel sugar-coating composition which gives a uniform layer thickness and has fine and smooth surface crystals and a syrup to be used for preparation of the sugar coating composition. CONSTITUTION:This is a sugar-coating composition in which the core material is coated with a sugar-coating layer containing erythritol and reducing starch saccharification product. The amount of erythritol is 62 to 98wt.%, while the saccharification product is 2 to 38wt.% on the dry basis in which the proportion of tri-or multi-saccharides is 22 to 100wt.% in the starch saccharification product. And the syrup for preparation of said composition is provided.
