PURPOSE: To provide a dynamoelectric machine having an easy-to-assemble wedge assembly, and a method for securing the winding, in which the winding can be secured surely in the slot of core and the shift and gap between the components can be absorbed over a long term. CONSTITUTION: The dynamoelectric machine comprises wedge assemblies 30, 34 for holding windings 14, 16 in the slot 12 of a core member 10, wherein the wedge assembly 30, 34 comprises an adaptive hose 34 for pressing the windings 14, 16 arranged in the slot 12. The adaptive hose 34 fills the gap caused during the assembly process to minimize movement of the windings 14, 16 of an electric rotating machine under operation. The adaptive hose 34 can hold a wedge securing means by filling a resin material under pressure and then bending the hose 34 onto the upper surface of the wedge 30 and securing the hose in place. |
