MOTOR-DRIVEN TYPE RANGE CHANGE-OVER DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE:To provide a motor-driven type range change-over device for an automatic transmission which can eliminate the impossible or wrong detection of detent retraction (self traveling), and can judge the proper detent retraction responding to the driving voltage of a motor and the ambient temperature of a manual valve. CONSTITUTION:An electric range change-over device is provided with a speed reduction device 3 interlocking with a motor 2 driven by a range selection switch 41; a manual shaft 5 connected to the speed reduction device 3; and a detent mechanism which is attached to the manual shaft to control a manual valve. The device is moreover provided with a means which compares the variation rate of the output value of a valve position sensor 23 to detect the variation of the rotational position of the detent mechanism with a predetermined reference value to judge the position of a manual shaft 5 for controlling the motor 2; a volt meter 21 to detect the driving voltage of the motor 2; an oil temperature sensor 22 to detect the ambient temperature of the manual valve; and a means for correcting the reference value based on the output values sent from the volt meter 21 and the oil temperature sensor 22.
