PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of light from the adjacent shutter by forming a color filter corresponding to display pixels on a substrate, disposing a black opaque film on the border and forming a transparent electrode on the color filter and opaque film. CONSTITUTION:Color filters of red 22, blue 23, and green 24 are formed corresponding to the shutter part of a liquid crystal, while the border of the filter is dyed into black to form a black frame 21 to prevent oozing of colors to the border of the filter for transmitted light. This black frame 21 is formed so as not to transmit light through a space of a shutter when the liquid crystal is a positive type. Further, when the liquid crystal is a negative type, oozing of light can be decreased by the black frame. When the negative type liquid crystal is used and the degree of dyeing in the transverse direction of the dye is intense, a material to prevent dyeing is mixed into the black frame 21. Further, a transparent protective film 25 is formed on the upper part, on which a conductive transparent film 26 is formed as an electrode. |
