PURPOSE:To obtain a processed crude drug by immersing fruit of Lycium chinense or Nephelium longanum in an alcohol and sweetening the extract. CONSTITUTION:Crude drug selected from Lycium chinense belonging to the family So lanaceae and Nephelium longanum belonging to the family Sapindaceae is immersed in an alcohol having an alcohol concentration of 25-35% for about 30-80 days. The immersion liquid is sweetened with a sugar such as sucrose and fructose, honey, natural sweetener, etc. The alcohol immersion treatment and the sweetening treatment are carried out at the same time or in arbitrary order. Since these crude drugs have poor digestibility as it is to retard the absorption of the active components, the drugs are immersed in alcohol and used as a medical liquor. The medical liquor prepared from Lycium chinense and Nephewium longanum has bitter taste and, accordingly, the liquor is sweetened and used as it is or as a processed herb drug prepared by mixing the liquor into a food. |
