UNIT-TYPE PRINTING HEAD ASSEMBLY FOR INK JET PRINTING

PURPOSE: To easily replace a module or unit printing head assembly without damaging a pen by constituting the pen of an ink jet printer so as to have the module or unit printing head assembly and making the assembly freely detachable to a pen main body. CONSTITUTION: The pen used in an ink jet printer is provided with a plurality of unit printing head assemblies and the respective assemblies are attached to a pen main body provided with a ribbon type multi-conductor 26 for sending a control signal by screws 23. The pen main body has inlet and outlet manifolders 101, 103 for distributing ink to the assemblies formed thereto. Each assembly has a plastic support 40 and a printing head 50 is held to the support. The outer surface 52 of the printing head 50 and the surface 48 of the support 40 are covered with a flexible circuit 54 and a fine nozzle 57 is formed to the portion covering the upper surface of each printing head 50 of the flexible circuit 54.
