PURPOSE:To provide the digital mobile radio equipment which prevents unnecessary power consumption even in the case of a high input voice level. CONSTITUTION:An A/D converter 2 which subjects a voice signal to A/D conversion, a voice encoding part 4 which encodes the obtained digital voice signal and outputs encoded voice data, a transmission part 5 which modulates obtained encoded voice data and outputs it from an antenna 6, a reception part 7 which converts the signal received by the antenna 6 to a base band and demodulates and outputs encoded voice data, a voice decoding part 8A which selects the normal decoding processing or the simple decoding processing to execute the decoding processing of encoded voice data from the reception part 7 and outputs a digital voice signal, a silence detection part 3A which discriminates whether the digital voice signal is in the sound state higher than a prescribed level or in the silent state equal to or lower than the prescribed level, and a control part 12 which commands selection of operation stop' of the voice encoding part 4 and the transmission part 5 and selection of the simple decoding processing of the voice decoding part 8A are provided. |
