PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device capable of easily detecting the state of the beam light path of laser beam optionally scanning a surface to be scanned and displaying detected information with a display means. CONSTITUTION:As for the image forming device forming an image by guiding the laser beam optically modulated from a light source means 1 on the surface 6 to be scanned through an image formation means 5 after polarizing by a deflecting means 4; a synchronization detecting means 7 detecting timing for the write of image information to the surface to be scanned, a comparing and calculating means comparing and calculating the output width of an output signal obtained from the synchronization detecting means 7 and the display means displaying information obtained by the comparing and calculating means are installed. |
