PURPOSE: To suppress voltage spike to be induced through a simple soft switching system at a minimum cost (silicon region, power consumption and complexity) as compared with other system. CONSTITUTION: When a motor is switched from state S2 to S3, from S4 to S5 or from S6 to S7, a high voltage side current is switched from one coil to another coil. The high voltage side current is switched by turning one high voltage side transistor off and turning another high voltage side transistor on. Switching of the high voltage side current causes to induce a delayed inductive voltage spike in a coil being turned on after commutation. Consequently, a voltage spike being induced during a time required for switching from one coil to another coil can be suppressed as compared with other system at a minimum cost on a simple soft switching system. |
