PURPOSE:To detect a defect or the like of a line buffer for image processing in a printer interface. CONSTITUTION:A CPU writes pattern data resulting from applying image processing to test pattern data to a line buffer 63 via a PDC 62 in a printer interface 54 by providing a test program for the line buffer 63 of the PDC 62 and reads the pattern data to make matching check. Thus, it is discriminated that storage and read of data to/from the line buffer 63 are implemented correctly depending whether write pattern data are coincident with read pattern data or not. |
