The pipe clip has a first end area (1) with radial projection (3) and a second end area (2) with radially resilient locking plate (4). The two end areas overlap circumferentially. In the overlapping area the first end area has two guides (6,7) which prevent the second end area from expanding radially outwards. The internal width of the two guides measured radially is greater than the material thickness (M) of the second end area. The guides can be formed by radially outwardly projecting angled parts whose free ends face each other.
