The invention provides an arrangement for converting solar radiation energy into some other form of energy, the arrangement comprising: at least one converter for converting solar radiation energy into some other form of energy, for example electrical energy; and light-transmitting (transparent) covering means for covering the converter and protecting it against external effects, said covering means being in the form of at least one layer, consisting of a plastic selected from the group comprising acrylate and fluorinated plastics such as FEP, PFA, MFA. An essential feature of the invention is the use of a plastic having very good transmission characteristics with respect to incident solar radiation, very good ultraviolet resistance (UV resistance, UV-fastness) and excellent weather-resistance (weatherability) characteristics. |
