PURPOSE:To realize a state of no interruption of power throughout a long length of time, by such means that with a power fed temporarily from a battery through inverter when interrupted the commercial power source, a non-utility generator, after being started, feed the power. CONSTITUTION:When switching from a battery 2 to a non-utility generator source 7, after connected the non-utility generator source, an output voltage of the generator is gradually raised from an initial level below that corresponding to a voltage of the battery, while causing the battery and the non-utility source to temporarily operate in paralle, with a distribution of the load gradually shifted from the battery to the non-utility power source. A gradually shifting of the load, accomplished in such way by a temporary operation in parallel when switching the source, results in no requirement for the non-utility generating capacity to provide a margin as conventionally made, capable of promoting a state of no-break power by the unit, extremely safely and economically, throughout a long length of time. |
