PURPOSE:To realize a feeding system for the high-performance circular polarized wave antenna by giving some contrivance to the wave radiation part at the tip of the antenna feed. CONSTITUTION:Two H-face corners are linked to H-face taper 11 at 90 deg. angle, and short plate 12 is added to the tip of the waveguide. As for the action of wave radiation part 6, the electric field which is parallel to the paper surface at K is split into the fields vertical to the paper surface at A and A', so the half of the waves passing through slot 10V and 10V' at part A and A' is radiated. The remaining waves are bent perpendicularly in sequence via B and B' plus C and C', and then radiated totally through slot 10H and 10H' at D and D'. In this case, the path lengths of slot 10V and 10H are set to the integer-times as long as the intra-tube wavelength in order to obtain a high-performance field. |
