In telecommunication systems (1) that contain stations (3,4) that areconnected with the wire bound telecommunications network, the overflow signalof the transmit branch (23) to the receiver branch (24) must be kept small.To this end, the station (3, 4) contains an anti-local switch (19) with abalance impedance (Zbal) of a station (3,4) from a telecommunication system(1) that, according to this invention, is established in dependency of boththe impedance (Z1) of the subscriber line (5) to which the station isconnected as well as the parasitical value (Zpar) of the impedance in thestation itself. The station (3,4) contains the signal activation means (14)in the transmit branch (23) for the activation of a test signal, measuringtools (14) in the receive branch (24) for the measurement of the overflowsignal caused by the test signal and the device tools (21) to be able todevice a balance impedance value (Zbal) independent of the measured overflowsignal. In a preferential execution of a telecommunication system (1)according to this invention, the test signal contains a number of tones.
