Parking with surface access stations for vehicles; elevators; horizontally displaceable transelevators; a subterranean track for the transelevators; and spaces located along the track, each one with racks at different levels in communication with the transelevator for receiving and removing vehicles; the track comprises one or more long, mutually parallel sections, from each one of which short sections branch off to form, with the long section, an angle between 120 and 150 degrees or additional parts thereof; the length of the short sections is between 10 and 40 m. It applies especially to a stretch of street in the Ensanche district of Barcelona, included between two street intersections. <IMAGE>
