PURPOSE:To improve the durability for repeated uses of a screen photosensitive element by applying a liquid containing a non-ionic surface activator, silicone oil of low viscosity and water to the surface of the photosensitive element on each repetition of the image formation. CONSTITUTION:A liqud, which contains in volumetric ration 0.5 to 5 of non-ionic surface activator such as polyoxyethylene alkyl eter, 0.1 to 5 of silicone oil having a low viscosity lower than 100 CP such as dimethyl silicone oil and 90 to 99.8 of water, is applied to the surface of a screen photosensitive element either each repetition of the image formation or intermittently. The liquid thus prepared is applied in need while detecting the contamination and deterioration of the photosensitive element. As a result, since a thin film is formed on the surface of the element, the resistance to the corona ions can be so remarkably improved that the maintenance of the initial characteristics of the photosensitive element can be remarkably improved. |
