The cladding panels (1a,b) are separated by gaps. The carrier at least one anchoring element (2) with an anchor (4), protruding into a gap between two panels such that it is spaced by an intermediate space. The anchor carries a pin (6), engaging bores (7) in adjacent panels on either anchor side. The pin is longitudinally slidable in the anchor, while at least one bore is of retention type with a depth corresp. to the difference between the pin length and the gap width. Pref. in the horizontal gaps the retention bore is formed in the top panel (1a), with the bore in the lower panel shorter.
