<p>Breathable film (12) is formed by extruding a blend of 10-68 wt.% linear polyolefin, 30-80 wt.% filler, and 2-20 wt.% bonding agent and stretching the extruded film at a temp. below the m.pt. of the linear polyolefin. Also claimed are (i) the breathable film formed in the claimed process,; (ii) a breathable film/non-woven laminate (10) made by laminating a fibrous polyolefin non-woven web (14) to the above film, the film having a water vapour transmission rate of at least 100 grams per m<2> per 24 hrs. and the laminate a peel strength of at least 5 grams; (iii) the process for forming the above laminate; (iv) a personal care absorbent article having a body side liner, an absorbent core; and (v) an outer cover which is the above laminate and an article of clothing including the laminate.</p> |
