The casket has a rigid body (2) having a peripheral edge (7) with a flap (9) pivoted on the edge about a first axis (8). The flap is formed by two flaps (10,11) with the first (10) pivoted on the peripheral edge and the second (11) pivoted on the first flap about a second axis (12). The second flap pivots into a closed position in which the two flaps are applied against each other with the second flap inserted between the first flap and the peripheral edge. In the open disengaged position the second flap is moved angularly away from the first flap. A flat (15) object, such as a photo, is inserted under tongues (16) in the second flap and held against a window (14) in the first flap. A protection layer (20) of glued band (19) keep the second flap in place against the first flap.
