发明名称 METHOD FOR INCREASING CEREAL CROP YIELDS, ESPECIALLY OF MAIZE AND SUNFLOWER
摘要 The stimulation role of the low relative humidity of air during the night period of the fruit growth of plants is established. By the method, in field conditions, this is ensured by sowing of spring hoed crops: maize or sunflower, in bands having from 4 to 12 rows, leaving empty strips (paths) without sowing from 1 to 3 rows, depending on the width of the bands, the empty strips being kept clear during the whole vegetation of the crop. Under such conditions the maize yield is increased in comparison with the standard sowing by 100 to 300 kg/decare, measured in the cobs during an agrometereologically normal year, and in case of drought - by 40 to 100 kg/decare. The yield of sunflower seed during a normal year increases by 60 to 100 kg/decare, and in a dry year - by 25 to 30 kg/decare. The sowing norm is reduced from 40 to 25% depending on the number of rows in a band and the number of unsown rows.
