The object of the invention is to eliminate harmful substances which are deposited in the gills and walls of the stomach cavity of said animals when there are polluted conditions in the areas where they are produced, as is the case, for example, of red tides. It is characterized in that it is formed from a boat 1 which moves towards unpolluted waters and contains a plurality of tanks or pools 2 in which a plurality of stackable cages 3 are deposited, these containing the animals to be purified. The boat is equipped with means for filling the pools 2 with unpolluted water from the outside and is also equipped with means for emptying the pool 2, with the result that the pools operate simultaneously with the previous ones, once the pool is full, so that an ascending stream is created which oxygenates the water which, as it passes through the gills and stomach cavity, destroys or entrains the harmful substances, leaving the animals ready for human consumption. <IMAGE>
