Rupture disk for gas-insulated metal-cased HV plant

A safety disk (12) of the rupture type for a gas-insulated metal-cased high voltage plant is formed as a trip membrane, bowed inwards at rated pressure. When the pressure exceeds this rating, the disk suddenly buckles outwards. It is fastened within a circular flange (13). Outside the disk is a sensor (15, 16) which detects the buckling. The sensor is a switch which is triggered by the disk, the current supply then being broken. The disk has break-off points made by scratches.
