Swimming device for water sport and leisure

The swimming device has a floating body which is fitted with separate air chambers and a drive. The drive is in the form of a rubber fin (6), by which a fish-like forward motion is induced. The fin may be driven by treating evenly on two pedals (4) to move the device forwards. The device has two air chambers and is nearly unsinkable. The floating body is made of polyvinyl chloride plastics. Its walls are 6-8 mm thick. The two air chambers, total length 2.2 metres, are divided at the point of the CG of a human body. The float is made of a soft rubber, and has longitudinal ribs on both sides. The turning axis (13) is of round metal rod of 10 mm dia. and the reinforcement (7) is of tinplate, 2 mm thick, welded to the rod.
