Semiconductor cell clamp for electrical railway car power converter

The clamp includes a screw whose shaft passes through a central hole of a spring washer (5). The semiconductor cell is in compression contact with a cooler (2) while the spring is compressed by the screw motion to generate the required spring biassing force. The spring is bounded in the direction of the screw head and the collar by discs or washers (8,9), between which is located a test tube (10) of such height as to be able to move laterally with the spring released. When the desired spring biassing force has been attained, there is no free play between the discs and tube.
