A wheel chair with a lifting device characterised in that the seat and the foot rest are separately mounted at the upper ends of two adjustable quadrilateral assemblies (23, 42) extending upwards from the frame and having a common movable portion (26), and in that the up-down control system (50) includes a drive unit arranged between the frame and one of the movable members of one of the quadrilateral assemblies for controlling the movement of said quadrilateral assemblies between a stable collapsed position and a stable deployed position. The device is useful in stand-up wheelchairs. |
