An improved scanner for documents comprising conveying means (7, 10, 11) along a path of conveyance (1) with an ideal path line (6) for the documents to follow shaped substantially in a U, and along said path line a bilateral scanning station (4) and pairs of closely set, opposed drive rollers (7). The scanning station comprises photocells (50, 51) for detecting colour indication marks formed on said documents and corresponding to the "blind" colour of them. Photocells (50, 51) drive coloured light emitting means or filter means chromatically coherents with said marks so as to enable information detecting means (48, 49, 70, 71) to scan the information being blind with respect to the colour corresponding to the colour of said marks. |
