Grinding and classification of scrap composite materials

All kinds of composites may be treated, from laminates to built-up components; this is essentially a scrap recovery operation. The materials may be solid organic and/or inorganic composites or bondings, for example: metal/metal, plastic/plastic or metal/plastic. Mineral composites with metal and/or metal parts may also be treated. The composite is selectively size reduced by grinding. It is then separated. The processing temperatures lie between 10 and 75 deg C; room temperature is preferred. The circumferential speed of the grinding mill is between 50 and 180 m/sec.
