A viral desease remedy or preventive containing antileukoprotease (ALP) as the active ingredient. It can be effectively applied to particularly viral diseases cauded by viruses that can be activated by tryptase clara, i.e., viruses that contain adventitial glycoproteins and cause infection in the respiratory tract to proliferate therein, for example, influenza virus, parainfluenza virus, RS virus, measles virus, or mumps virus.
