The fitment comprises side arms of the crosshead shoe (7) which are thinner than the height of the C-shaped grooves in the slide rail (6). An adjusting pin supported on the base of the slide rail goes through the crosshead shoe. The slide shoe and or adjusting screw (14), the slide rail and or holder-bar (8) are made of plastics. The cross-section of the slide rail is adjustable in length. Fixed or adjustable end stops with spring elements are on one or both sides of the slide rail. The fan brake (1) is movable along one or both of the stop rails (4,5). The slide rail and or holder-bar are attached by a rivet movable along an elongated hole in the stop rail.
