Gratings for cooled storage compartments in ships

The gratings have grating elements in the form of flat elements, which can be lifted by hand, on supports, spaced out from the bottom or deck of the ship. The supports are anchored at the bottom. The free space between them serves to convey the cooling air into the storage compartment. Each grating element (1a, 1b) is attached along one of its edges via an articulated joint (2) to the top of the supports. The elements can thus be folded upwards individually. There are supports (4) opposite the edge with the articulated joint. These supports keep the gratings horizontal when they are folded down.
