The device comprises a valve gear having a third oil channel (21) branching off from a first oil channel (18) and leading into a camshaft bearing (15,16). The first oil channel belongs to a guide rail (2) which, along with the camshaft bearing, is interconnected by an engine part (14). The bearing cap (15) or bearing block (16) of the camshaft is formed upon the engine part. The third oil channel is formed on the engine part. A fourth oil channel connects the camshaft bearing with a bore provided for a cylinder head screw.
